ACT-4 EXPLORATORY PET EVALUATION OF BORON NEUTRON CAPTURE THERAPY FOR MALIGNANT GLIOMA REFRACTORY TO BEVACIZUMAB

Abstract Background We previously reported a phase II trial of accelerator-based boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) for patients with malignant glioma, which showed long median overall survival 18.9 months. However, progression-free was 0.9 In this trial, bevacizumab permitted to use after progressive disease. The reason discrepance between short and speculated that progression disease included pseudoprogression. But, efficacy add-on on not ignored. Methods present study approved by the Osaka Medical Pharmaceutical University certificated review board registered Japan Registry Clinical Trial (jRCTs051220019). Twenty-one who had glioma refractory treatment were planned enroll in study. primary endpoint response rate boronophenylalanine positron emission tomography. secondary endpoints magnetic resonance image safety. Conclusion Patients have been enrolled from June 2022. BNCT could be elucidated PET evaluation tumor viability BNCT.
